Consultations: What to Expect & Why It’s the Most Important Step

If you’re curious about microblading, lip blush or a tiny tattoo but feel unsure, cautious, or simply want honest answers first — a consultation is the best place to start!
A consultation isn’t about pressure or commitment. It’s about clarity, reassurance, and confidence.
Most of my clients arrive with questions like:
• “Will it look natural on me?”
• “What if I don’t suit it?”
• “Is my skin type right?”
• “I’m worried it will look too bold or obvious”
• “Does it hurt?”
This is exactly what a consultation is designed for.
WHAT IS A PERMANENT MAKEUP CONSULTATION?
A consultation is a relaxed, one-to-one appointment where we talk through your needs — not trends, not social media images, and not what works on everyone else. Each consultation is tailored to a specific treatment but generally we discuss:
• Your natural features
• Your skin type and lifestyle
• Your medical history
• Your concerns, fears and expectations
We will also apply a small patch test on your inner arm which indicates any allergies you may have to the products.
You’ll leave knowing whether permanent makeup is right for you — even if the answer is not yet.
WHY CLIENTS BOOK A CONSULTATION FIRST
Many clients tell me they delayed booking for months or even years because they were worried about:
• Brows looking too dark or Lips looking too vibrant
• It hurting too much
• Friends noticing and feeling embarressed
• Their partners not understanding
A consultation removes all of that uncertainty... trust me!
There is never any obligation to book a treatment after the consultation. In fact, we advise you go home and think over everything we have discussed. When you feel ready, you can book online at your own leisure.

• Are worried about tattoo looking too bold
• Have mature or sensitive skin
